Mr. Bretz is the Senior Vice President of Alternative Delivery for Compass Bank. His management responsibilities include Payment Strategy, PC Banking, and CompassWeb.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Bretz was Compass Bank's Marketing Director. He has also held positions at Compass in the Systems and Telecommunication areas as well as in the Chairman's Office earlier in his career.

Mr. Bretz currently serves on the Board of Directors of NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
