1st Quarter 2005 ACH statistics

Attached are two summaries of ACH statistics for the 1st quarter 2005. In the 1st quarter there were 2,541,648,583 ACH payments, an increase of 4.07% over the previous quarter, and an increase of 18.72% over the 1st quarter 2004. The most significant growth was in PPD credits (Direct Deposit), which showed an increase of 60 million payments, or 7.1 percent. These figures do not include estimates of on-us payments.
