 3rd Quarter 2004 ACH StatisticsAttached are two summaries of ACH statistics for the 3rd quarter 2004. In the quarter there were 2,311,381,453 ACH payments, which is a 3.61% increase over the previous quarter and a 21.68% increase over the 3rd quarter 2003. ARC accounted for 71.2% of all ACH growth in the quarter.
On the commercial-only side (excludes Federal government volume), quarterly ACH volume exceeded 2 billion items for the first time, at 2,086,097,407 payments, which is 24.6% higher than the 3rd quarter 2003.
